LL.M in Energy and Natural Resources

Online – Available Anywhere

The Online LL.M in Energy and Natural Resources program allows lawyers practicing energy law to further their specialization or is for lawyers that want to transition into an energy law practice. The 24-credit hour program exposes students to legal education focused on the entire energy lifecycle – including courses on oil and gas contracts, upstream, midstream, downstream and water law.

Every aspect of energy law is available to students in this program.

Faculty with Strong Energy Law Experience

Students in the program are taught by OU Law faculty and adjunct faculty carefully selected for their expertise in Energy, Natural Resources and Oil and Gas law.  The OU Law faculty all have practitioner experience and the adjuncts are top partners at energy firms and general counsels.

Unique Student Experience

OU Law is very selective for the Online LL.M program and only admits about 20-30 students per year, which allows for a very personalized experience. The Energy Law program director has designed each course in the program to provide a comprehensive view of energy law across the entire resource lifecycle.

Access the OU Energy Network

The University of Oklahoma has been providing energy education for over 100 years. OU Law has strong expertise in energy and can also rely on top energy programs from the Price College of Business and the Mewbourne College of Earth and Energy. Each college has a strong graduate network within energy companies that our alumni can access.
